One of the main characteristics was to create an adjustable beam with such a large illumination area as possible. A wide beam means that the light intensity is relatively low at short distances, minimizing the possibility that the animals are frightened while a large area is illuminated and gives you a direct target focus.
Already in the 25 meters is an area of about 2.5 meters in diameter illuminated; at 100 meters it is 10 meters. We use the obvious anti-glare glass lenses in the optical zoom system! The wavelength of the laser is 532nm.
Unlimited adjustable zoom system lets you shoot in complete darkness out to about 300 feet away with your normal rifle scope. It’s delivered with clever flip-up cover with two different lenses. A lens that reduces the brightness by 60% and one that is opaque to the light. Reduction lens can be used when you want to dampen the strength of the short distances. The black lens that no light can penetrate can be used in very cold weather when the laser may need a moment to reach the correct temperature for the full strength, from about-15C.
The biggest problem with the other green laser designator we tried was to NOT start at all at lower temperatures, already at + 2C, they become unstable and the lights flickering and dim. To eliminate this problem, we use a pulsed laser of high quality and complement this with a smart temperature-controlled preheating system that allows the laser operates down to-25C. For the system to work in these temperatures are required in addition to the preheating of the laser, high-quality lithium batteries designed for operation at low temperatures. We have therefore chosen to deliver the Unlimited with 2 pieces of rechargeable lithium batteries of cold-resistant type - and 12V car charger and 220V wall charger.
To further optimize the system reliability and uptime, we have chosen to use batteries of the type 18 650, 3.7V 2600mAh. Other manufacturers rely on you as a customer buys batteries self-type CR123. The batteries in the trading of this kind cannot stand the cold and stop giving sufficient power even if the laser itself has a pre-heat!
Unlimited provided with a mounting with an additional upper Weaver shoulder for mounting a light bulb and the tracking brackets matching both 25.4mm and 30mm scope tub. Designator body mount is adjustable in height and width and then lockable.
