Casstrom No.10 Swedish Forest Knife, Stabilized shaft

Item ID: Artikelnummer: 13118

Woodsman raises the rib in the industry with a shaft of stabilized mash bark that not only looks really nice but is also water resistant, washable and impact resistant.
The wood is vacuum-injected with a mixture of hardened methacrylate esters, which increases its density and makes the entire handle resistant to moisture, cracks and hard bumps.

This powerful full-toe knife is built for versatile use in hunting, fishing and general use in the woods. It's a sturdy knife that you can flake a moose with, fillet a fish as well as you can cut a wooden object with it. The blade is approximately 10cm long and made in approximately 3.5mm thick Sandvik 14C28N, a Swedish stainless steel developed for knives (58-59 HRC).
The knife is ground with a whole flat grinding so-called. Full Flat Grind and has a side matte finish and gradually slopes towards the tip. This steel in combination with the grinding makes these knives very easy to cut with, effective for versatile use, and preserves sharpness but is still very easy to sharpen. However, this grinding is not optimized to break, the blade can be damaged, without focusing on its ability to cut effectively. If you want to increase the strength, the rim can be grinded back and the slip angle increases slightly. For really hard use, however, Scandinavian grinding is recommended.

The knife comes with a very sturdy brown knife case made of 3mm thick vegetable tanned leather. The knife slider has an extra wide belt loop, a hole in the bottom for fluid and a hole for an anchoring belt.

About the Steel:
Sandvik 14C28N knife steel
Sandvik's latest product in its popular series of knife steels. The optimized composition creates a steel with a unique combination of excellent egg properties (stability, abrasion abrasion), high hardness and high rust inertia. This new steel version has the ability to cure so that the wear resistance is improved against previous steel types without affecting the microstructure. Therefore, grinding the knife becomes relatively easy, while egg stability with regard to chipping and egg rolling is still very good.
