The Vanguard IR510 is the lightest handheld thermal imager available today. Using the latest
display technology and a LCOS 320 x 240 display, the IR10 provides superb image quality whether
looking for a mooring, an approaching vessel, semi-submerged debris or a fixed structure in the
water. The unit has an internal Li-on battery providing up to 10 hours continuous use.
Using the latest thermal imaging technology, the infrared detectors produce images based only on heat differentiation - they require no visible light.
IR510C with 384x288 resolution and a 19mm lens Human (1.7m) detection up to 350m Boat (10m) detection up to 2350m NB Range will vary dependent on the user, environmental conditions and set up.
The Vanguard IR510 has a 2x and 4x digital zoom and an adjustable recticle focus to ensure a
crisp image in both total darkness and daylight. It can “see through” smoke and easily detects objects hidden in shadows.
Unlike many products in this category, the IR510 features a 50Hz update rate, a white hot/black hot
polarity switch, a red hot palette and auto-standby for power saving. The unit incorporates a micro USB port for charging and there is a battery pack (optional) for extending battery life.
There is also a useful LED light for illumination. All units have a standard analogue Video
output supporting 50Hz data with no lag. Ergonomically designed and with only 4 buttons, the Vanguard IR510 is very easy to use. It is lightweight, protected by a rubber armoured sleeve
and is rated IP67.
